Dr. Michael Bubon
Southeastern Wisconsin Orthodontist
Meet Dr. Michael Bubon, a passionate orthodontist whose journey into the world of orthodontics began during his youth when he personally experienced the power of braces. Driven by this fascination, it led him to Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York City, where he earned his orthodontic degree.
Returning to his Midwest roots, in 1993 Dr. Bubon established Bubon Orthodontics, which has since grown to become one of the nation’s largest privately-owned orthodontic practices. As we grow, Dr. Bubon remains committed to preserving a family-oriented culture within his practice. This dedication has earned Bubon Orthodontics recognition as one of the “Best Places to Work” by Metro Parent Magazine. The longevity of his staff, with many celebrating 10,15, or even 20-year milestones, speaks volumes about the positive work environment he fosters.
A leader in the field, Dr. Bubon has contributed to international orthodontic journals and has shared his expertise through lectures worldwide. His lecture topics span from simplifying orthodontic treatment to addressing complex cases, pre-teen orthodontics, TMJ therapy, and non-extraction treatment.
Dr. Bubon’s upbringing instilled in him a strong work ethic and a deep appreciation for different cultures, thanks to his family travels throughout the Middle East during his childhood. Continuing his commitment to personal development he has dedicated time to studying classical Western philosophy and Christian theology, enriching his perspective.
Beyond his orthodontic practice, Dr. Bubon is actively involved in mentoring young men through “The Complete Man Series” which enhances their overall educational experience. He also serves as the director of Layton Study Center in Brookfield.
Driven by a passion for community engagement, Bubon Orthodontics regularly contributes to various local nonprofit organizations, benefiting parents, children, and families in Wisconsin. Some of these organizations include the Summit Educational Foundation, Women’s Care Center, Pepp Nation, and the Woodlawn Foundation.
Despite a busy schedule, Dr. Bubon makes time for family and Church-related activities. His “me-time” is usually spent reading, exercising, and, during the season, a little golf. Not surprisingly, he follows and supports the Packers, Brewers, and Bucks (and is proud that Bubon Orthodontics is the Official Smile of the Milwaukee Bucks)!
As a certified member of the American Association of Orthodontists, Dr. Bubon maintains active memberships in the American Dental Association, the Wisconsin Society of Orthodontists, and the Milwaukee and Waukesha County Dental Societies. His dedication to excellence led to his Board Certification from the International Association of Orthodontics, where he earned the prestigious title of “Master Instructor”. Dr. Bubon contributions to the field were recognized when he was named “Clinician of the Year” by the American Association of Functional Orthodontists.
