Dr. Idso’s journey in the field of orthodontics is rooted in a diverse and accomplished background. He embarked on his academic journey at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he pursued his undergraduate studies. Following his graduation, Dr. Idso proudly served as an active-duty officer in the United States Air Force for seven years. During his tenure, he served as a Navigator on C-130 aircraft, affording him the opportunity to travel extensively both within the United States and around the world.

After his time with the Air Force, Dr. Idso continued his journey in the field of dentistry at Marquette University School of Dentistry. His dedication and commitment to his studies culminated in a summa cum laude graduation and induction into the prestigious Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society.

Dr. Idso’s passion for orthodontics led him to complete a rigorous orthodontic residency program at Marquette University School of Dentistry. Here, he not only earned a master’s degree but also received a Certificate of Specialty in Orthodontics, further enhancing his expertise in this specialized field.

Dr. Idso’s professional affiliations include memberships in the American Association of Orthodontists, Wisconsin Society of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, and Wisconsin Dental Association. His journey in orthodontics is complemented by a wonderful personal life; he met his wife, Rachel, during his time at UW-Madison, and they are now proud parents of two daughters, residing in Wauwatosa.

Beyond his professional commitments, Dr. Idso finds solace in his leisure pursuits. He cherishes quality time spent with family and friends, is an avid traveler, enjoys the great outdoors, and passionately supports Wisconsin’s sports teams. Dr. Idso’s dedication to his patients and his multifaceted interests make him a well-rounded and compassionate orthodontist who is not only dedicated to perfecting smiles but also enriching lives.
